ESSENTIAL VANS
Projects
Here we have compiled a small selection of projects from recent years. We hope you enjoy browsing through them and are available to answer any questions you may have at any time!
EV001
How it all began. Originally intended as our own vehicle, Markus and I set about building a multifunctional Sprinter. Markus’ Ducato served as the template, so to speak, for the EV000. Working at home in the garage after countless weekends and hours of planning, the first ESSENTIAL VAN EV001 was created piece by piece.
EV002
Just as we had finished the sentence for the L2H2, we met Herbert. We liked him right from the start and couldn’t say no, so the first L1H1 was created. A great vehicle, which unfortunately is no longer offered by Mercedes Benz.
EV004
Our first 4×4 Sprinter. I can still remember when we made the decision to build our first 4×4 Sprinter, with the plan to have it ready in time for Van Days. Somehow, we ended up only being able to start building it three days before the event. 😉 The van was finished and we caught up on our sleep. A very cool car, in our opinion… 🙂
EV011
Project name: ‘FENEK’. Fenek is a desert fox, both literally and figuratively. The vehicle’s colour is a special Mercedes colour. It’s no coincidence that our kitchen module is called ‘Küchenmodul Ledwinka’. 😉
Now super cosily furnished, the desert fox has also been spotted at one or two off-road 4×4 meetings in local regions.
EV012
Project name ‘Delta Force’ was our first car with 285 Delta 4×4 tyres and, in its final stage of development, had x-Bull widenings fitted. An absolutely spectacular car that represented the maximum of what was feasible for us at the time. EV012 recently got a new owner, as it had to make way for the new EV085. Stay tuned, it’s going to be another super cool van.
EV018
Nomade auf Zeit (Temporary Nomad) is one of the first custom projects we have realised according to customer requirements. The vehicle can be converted between a long-distance motorhome and a people carrier. The partition wall creates two zones, so everyone has their own sleeping space (two dogs in the front and two adults in the back). 😉
EV024
Based on a used L2H1, an exciting project was created, with basic conversion and our swivel brackets for the bed modules. The car is once again a people carrier in no time, but offers enough space for bikes and everything else you need for an adventure trip.
EV025
Project 6031, who can guess what it is? It’s called that because the colour says it all. Pike brother, Fabian lives and breathes his company, and so do we. The van fits seamlessly into his existing vehicle collection (RAL 6031) and matches his home and yard in every way. What makes this project special is the SCA sleeping roof and the fact that this 4×4 Sprinter weighs well under 3.5 tonnes. A true ESSENTIAL VAN.
EV039
White Wolf will always remain in our memories. After gathering material for his VAN from all over the world, he discovered us. This unique project began with his request to turn it into an ESSENTIAL VAN. This gave us expertise in many products that we would not otherwise have used. That’s why it’s always good to realise a fully customised project from time to time.
EV051
Project Expresso… Long story short, the project name came about quickly once it was clear that the special espresso machine had to be included. Barely recognisable from the outside, Expresso has everything an ESSENTIAL VAN needs to be perfectly equipped for kayaking. Now refined in a few stages of development, Expresso features a drop rack system that can be perfectly mounted on the roof in the original C-rails with our solar panel and awning system. This allows kayaks to be loaded from the side. Yes, and once again, the credit goes to our dear customer who came up with the idea and the system. 🙂
EV052
EV052 is another SCA roof project. The van came to us with a built-in sleeping roof and was designed to accommodate a family with several children. We provided the ESSENTIAL VANS basic conversion, as well as the transverse sleeper package, the loading levels and the heavy-duty pull-out shelves.
EV057
EV057 is a special project. Not only because of the two roof awnings and the quick-release roof tent, but above all because it is ‘full standard’. This means that the entire conversion was carried out exclusively with EV standard modules and accessories. As a true representative of the brand, this vehicle can be found at various trade fairs or on the road in use as a mobile office van.
EV068
EV068 is another ‘full custom’ project. The aim was to accommodate surfing equipment, a moped, two people and a dog for a trip around the world. This was a challenging project for us, in which we had to come up with lots of new ideas.
EV073
EV073, here you can see a great vehicle that is used as a family transporter and weekend trip & holiday van. It can sleep 4 people and travel with 6 people. All on an L2H2 basis and well under 3.5 tonnes.
